The “XVIII Congreso de Hoteleros” (18th Congress of Hotel Businesses), organised by CEHAT, was held in Oviedo over 17-19 November, bringing together more than 400 attendees and 40 top-level speakers.

As part of the congress, José Ángel Preciados, our CEO, and David López Pachón, Director of Innovation, Sales and Marketing, took part in two working groups.

On the first day, José Angel took part in a debate with other hotel sector CEOs: “Tourist and Social Circumstances. Tourism in 2022.” “2022 will be a key year. The pandemic has been a huge wake-up call to drive us out of our comfort zone, where holiday tourism meant just sun and sand. That is no longer enough. Everything has been speeded up and we need to work on giving guests a better product and service to enhance their experience, said José Ángel.

On Friday, David took part in the group “From Global Marketing on Major Platforms to Guerrilla Marketing”, where he mentioned, among other things, that we have become a data-driven company with a clustering model that allows us to calibrate guests and their experience at our hotel. “We need to analyse and establish predictive models for the future.”

Additionally, on the evening of 18 November, the “RSC Hotelera” prizes were awarded, with our chain receiving the “Mejor Hotelera Social” award, picked up by Beatriz Miguel, the chain's Operations Manager.

Once again, we were not just present at one of the sector’s most important events, but also honoured for our commitment to show that tourism for all is possible.
