The Hotel ILUNION Romareda has received the Plaque for Tourism Merit 2020 in Aragon for its charity efforts during the public health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lockdown, the hotel used its facilities to host healthcare workers caring for people with COVID-19 who wanted to ensure that they did not infect their families.

José Antonio Palau, the hotel’s manager, received the plaque from the Vice-President and Minister of Industry at the Government of Aragon, Arturo Aliaga, at a ceremony held at the Pignatelli building in Zaragoza. The ceremony was also attended by the ONCE representative for Aragon, Raquel Pérez, and the Regional Director for ONCE in the region, José Luis Catalán.

Reflecting our social engagement, ILUNION Hotels sought ways to address the crisis from the very start of the pandemic, offering up facilities in Madrid, Barcelona, Mijas, Seville and Zaragoza for the care of people with mild illness and for healthcare workers.

Congratulations to all the team!
