FITUR 2021 was a very special edition for us, with a jam-packed schedule and lots of good news. Below we give a short run-down of each day.

We kicked off the fair with the Caixabank Hotels & Tourism awards, where we were national runner-up in the Community-Minded Business category for our work in converting our hotels into emergency medical centres, as well as our internal “Now More than Ever” project. Mercedes Ramos, our CFO, picked up the award on behalf of the company.

On Thursday 20, we attended the Smart Destinations Awards, organised by ITH and CEHAT. Beatriz Rubio, Head of Accessibility, and Beatriz Miguel, Operations Manager, represented the company in two of the categories for which we were nominated. We came first in Accessibility, and were runners up in Sustainability, with the ILUNION San Mamés project.

That same day, José Ángel Preciados attended the FITURTECHY round-table debate organised by CAJAMAR, where he spoke of sustainability as a concept that goes beyond just the environment, involving society as a whole, and of how companies need to change to offer a unique business model.

To wrap up this year’s edition, on Friday 21 November, Juan José Cestero, or Personnel Manager, attended the FITURTALENT forum on “Transforming Training in the Scope of the New Business Leader.” David López, our Director for Innovation and Marketing, presented Room 501 as part of FITURTECHY’s Rooms and Services in the Future. Lastly, Rebeca Navas, Sales Manager at ILUNION Alcora, presented the new image of our great hotel in Seville at the Andalusia pavilion.

It was a very special edition for us and we are happy to share some great moments with you that will undoubtedly consolidate our position at the forefront of the sector.

Thanks to all areas involved in the awards and to our speakers, for helping to get our message out.
