Yesterday, the Federación Española de Mujeres Directivas, Ejecutivas, Profesionales y Empresarias (Spanish Federation of Businesswomen, Professionals and Executives, FEDEPE) held the XXX FEDEPE Award ceremony for businesswomen, professionals and executives, as well as businesses, institutions and media that work to advance female equality, talent and leadership. This year’s edition was even more special as it was the XXX anniversary of the awards.

This year, ILUNION Hotels received the “Impulso a la Promoción de la Mujer” Award for our work in favour of equality and inclusion and all the elements of our Equality Plan.

The ceremony was held at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, and was chaired by Nadia Calviño, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Affairs and the Digital Transformation. The Chairwoman of Honour was Her Majesty the Queen.

Our CEO, José Ángel Preciados, picked up the award and thanked all the women in our organisation for their amazing day-to-day efforts. “This is a time to celebrate our business model, which is unique worldwide, but also to give praise and visibility to a group of women, most of whom have not had easy lives and whose work is mainly invisible, but essential to our day-to-day running. I mean our chambermaids, waitresses, housekeepers and cleaners”, said José Ángel, giving a special nod to the area.

If you did not see the ceremony live, we give a link here to the video where you can watch our CEO’s intervention.

The ceremony ended with a special performance by Sole Giménez, who composed a special song for the occasion, “La Mujer que Mueve el Mundo” (“The Woman who Moves the World”), the anthem of the XXX FEDEPE awards.
Congratulations to all the winners! Enjoy your deserve recognition!
